Where do I begin? Kendra came into my life on July 1, 2011, when she was called to take photographs of my son Evan. Sadly, Evan was born sleeping at 37 1/2 weeks. When the hospital staff told me about Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, the organization Kendra so generously donates her time and creativity to, I thought, who in their right mind would want to take professional pictures of their baby after death? I almost said no, but my obstetrician urged me to do it and I'm so glad she did. Kendra came to the hospital in the middle of the night to photograph my son and gave me 13 of the most treasured photographs of my life. If that weren't enough, 2 1/2 months after Evan's passing, Kendra met me for coffee to share her memories of that day. Kendra is such a compassionate person and although I wish we didn't have to meet this way, I am glad we have found each other. Rebecca

Hello Kendra, I hope you are doing well. I received everything in the mail yesterday. Before I left for the evening, we distributed the calendars and CDs to the residents. Oh my God, we did not have enough computers for all of them to view their CDs at once, so they took turns. We were all so impressed. Every photo is more gorgeous than the next. Having the finished product was amazing. Meagan, our department administrator, supplied teens with photo paper so that they could print individual photos for family and friends. Most of them downloaded their photos onto Facebook, etc. I especially enjoyed my CD. The girls are letting me have the calendar of me and the two graduates. I wanted to send this e-mail last night, but I couldn’t put into words, how grateful we all are for these gifts. Wholeheartedly, it is my intension that as you and Kendra read this e-mail, I hope that I have successfully conveyed what a pleasurable experience this has been.
